Goldfields Hotel and Finnigan's Rest, in Forsayth (www.visitforsayth.com.au), Queensland, is looking for a new Cook to join our team. Located around six hours west of Cairns and Townsville, the Hotel offers a true outback experience to travellers and locals alike. Working in a small team, you would be expected to cook food in line with all health and safety standards, including breakfast, morning and afternoon teas, lunch and evening meals for up to 60 guests of varying ages and dietary requirements. Meals are chosen from the menu board, daily specials, set menus and recipes that depict food that would traditionally be served on an outback cattle station. Orders may be placed over the counter at the coffee shop or bar. You would also ensure the kitchen are is kept in a clean and tidy condition and any equipment defects are notified immediately so that they can be attended to. You will need excellent customer service skills and be adaptable to assist with clearing tables or delivering food directly to guests as the need arises. On site accommodation and duty meals will be provided to the successful applicant.
